Humidity Control and Moisture Testing

Climate control is one of the most critical aspects of a building’s health and safety.  When interior air quality turns humid, latent environmental and long-term structural factors can set into a building’s walls, floors and other structural components. The appearance of rot, rust and the growth of mold and fungi set the stage for a sick and unsafe building.

Several things can cause a spike in indoor humidity levels; pipe breaks, overflows, water intrusion, condensation or insufficient HVAC systems. Once the moisture content in an indoor environment has significantly increased above normal, it is very important to dry it out and restore the humidity to the proper level. Degmor’s 24-hour accessibility and immediate response significantly diminishes the loss and reduces business interruption to our clients. Our expertise and sophisticated technology, including desiccant dehumidifiers and low-pressures vacuum systems, allow us to engineer the optimal drying system for our clients’ needs.

Our humidity control experts set up and monitor the full cycle of humidification to ensure that complete drying occurs. Through Thermal Hydrometry, Infrared Thermography, Radio Frequency and Invasive Probe, we record the temperature, humidity and moisture content in an affected area. After careful analysis, we engineer a process to thoroughly reduce the moisture levels down to the average level of the unaffected areas. We then monitor the process to ensure the proper indoor ambient conditions are maintained.

Degmor has built a strong reputation for being able to identify and resolve moisture problems of virtually any size. Our staff is trained in advanced measurement analysis and drying techniques.  Our resources allow us to help our customers continue their daily operation with little or no business interruption.
